Introducing e-Tools
iQuA-Stor
iQuA-Tion

iQuA-Map

In an increasingly commoditised IT environment threatened by low component prices, installers must begin to focus on increasing their profit margins in other ways. e-Tools enable installers not only to impress their customers but also improve staff training and overall task quality assurance.

The e-Tools range of products and services enables installers of telecommunications cabling to increase profitability by:
minimising quality assurance risks;
improving staff training regimes;
opening routes to new market opportunities.

For further information on any of these products simply click on the "Contact us" icon on the left.

iQuA-Stor

iQuA-Stor is the ultimate telecommunications cabling quality assurance resource which provides:
analyses of current and future standards
assessment criteria for:
installation specifications;
quality plans;
safety procedures;
method statements;
White Papers and templates which installers
can use either "out-of-the-box" or as a basis for
their own documentation systems.

The topics covered include:
design;
installation;
commissioning (inspection and testing);
administration, documentation and handover;
operation.

The following aspects of iQuA-Stor can also be used for effective staff training and induction:
Corporate Policy templates;

CORPORATE POLICY TEMPLATES
defining preferred operating practice
can be used as statements of commitment
where no other specification is provided

INFRASTRUCTURE STANDARDS WHITE PAPERS
defining the current and future status of
standards
can be used to respond to specifications which
quote multiple or obsolete standards;

CONFORMANCE STATEMENTS

defining the exact meaning of conformance to
specific standards - detailed knowledge in this
area is important to resolve contractual conflicts
as quickly as possible

COMPLIANCE MATRICES
ensuring that the various responsibilities of the
parties involved in an installation has been
complied with
can be used to determine compliance of
installation specifications, quality plans and the
physical installation

Q. A. TEMPLATES
formats and draft text for the development of
installation QA documentation including
Quality Plans, safety statements etc.

METHOD STATEMENTS
formats and draft text for customisation by
installers covewring a wide range of basic tasks

iQuA-Tion

iQuA-Tion is an "out-of-the-box" data library system for managing all the documentation related to an installation of cabling infrastructure. Based on a Microsoft Access database, the package contains all the relevant documentation within the iQuA-Stor system but integrated within a managed documentation system.

iQuA-Tion allows each and every project-related object (e.g. document/e-mail/drawing/image) associated with a given installation to be instantly located and recorded.

iQuA-Map

iQuA-Map is a combination of software packages that simplfy the documentation of installed cabling but, much more importantly, allow the integration of the base documentation with other forms of information by the use of easy-to-manage browser technology.

The iQuA-Map system features two building blocks a browser subsystem for viewing and managing
documentation and
INFRAMAP - a database for recording and
presenting information relating to the fixed
cabling installation that provides hyperlinked
access to the information within the browser
sub-system.

INFRAMAP is specifically designed for the documentation of cabling systems and is implemented using standard PC-based Microsoft Office applications (based on Office 97 for maximum compatibility).

INFRAMAP fully implements the requirements of ANSI/TIA/EIA-606-A using conventional spreadsheet and database solutions allowing hyperlinked schematics, cabinet layouts, product specfications and test results to be included within a single management tool.

The INFRAMAP database provides hyperlinked access to the information within the iQuA-Map browser sub-system.

iQuA-Map - an integrated PDS
a.k.a Project Documentation System

The iQuA-Map browser provides for access to significantly more data than just that for the fixed connectivity. iQuA-Map can become the information repository of the entire installation, integrating access to all areas of the project.

Our other e-Tool, iQuA-Tion, already integrates the management of specifications, plans and other contract documentation including tender documents and this system interfaces directly with iQuA-Map.

iQuA-Map - a premium installation sales tool

iQuA-Map offers the ideal sales tool for the installer. Admittedly, iQuA-Map requires some new skills to be learnt by the installer including:
new ways of defining connectivity and data
entry;
the ability to develop hyperlinks from one
document to another;
the capability to develop simple web-pages.

However, the mastery of these new skills is a small price to pay for the benefits that result:
each installation can be provided on an
iQuA-Map CD with starter.exe software to
customise user access;
each iQuA-Map CD features purchasing routes
for further work and component supply;
each iQuA-Map CD provides e-mail access and
web-site access to the installer;
the iQuA-Map documentation for each
installation acts as a sales tool for the next.
